A three-dimensional scan will be taken to determine if you are a candidate for dental implants. This image also shows other structures in your jaws and bone to make sure implants can be placed safely. In some cases, additional procedures may need to be done to accommodate the space needed for an implant and a surgical guide may be used to accomplish the best placement possible.
Impressions (molds) are taken to fabricate the implant crown (artificial tooth). Implants can also be attached to a denture or partial to provide more support and comfort.

A crown, also known as a cap, works as a cover that encases your tooth. Its function is to restore the tooth to its original shape, size, and functionality.

- You'll leave your first appointment with a temporary crown. This remains on your tooth for approximately two weeks while your new crown is being made.
- For your second appointment, we remove the temporary crown, clean the tooth again and make sure the new crown fits perfectly. You'll get instructions about proper care and maintenance from there.
